Treating cancer in companion animals.

I graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Perugia in 1992, then specialized in the United States at the Animal Medical Center in New York and North Carolina State University.

Since 1997, I have practiced as a veterinary oncologist in Rome, where I also provide consultancy services at the Regina Elena National Cancer Institute. From 1999 to 2016, I collaborated with the Centre of Biomedical Engineering in Sofia for the development of new electrochemotherapy equipment.

Over the years, I have dedicated myself to the treatment of neoplastic diseases in pets, developing, among other things, new therapeutic protocols in veterinary oncology.

This clinical activity, combined with research activity at the Regina Elena Institute, has led to the production of 46 scientific publications in journals with Impact Factor.

Since November 2006, I have been a preclinical investigator in electrochemotherapy at the Centre of Biomedical Engineering "Ivan Daskalov" in Sofia.

I was a preclinical collaborator with the Biomedical Engineering Center in Bulgaria from 2006 to 2014.

Among the recognition received for my research activity are reviewer activities for numerous scientific journals as well as inclusion on the editorial board of two international scientific journals: Open Drug Resistance Journal and Journal of Experimental and Clinical Cancer Research.

Since 2007, I have been a member of the Scientific Committee of the Italian Endometriosis Foundation. My objective is to develop new therapeutic protocols for companion animals affected by cancer in order to increase their efficacy and reduce their toxicity, providing the highest professional standards.
